When Stacey threw out the idea for us to do an inspiration design board for a mother in-law suite, I tilted my head a little and asked her, “what’s that?”. Oddly, I’ve never actually heard the term, but I knew it by a different name – a secondary suite. In searching for inspiration to share with you, it became apparent it would be difficult to narrow it down since a mother in-law suite can be different things for different people. Many have a separate entrance, bathroom, kitchen and living room. This week’s inspiration board is a little different as it was difficult to find something that didn’t just look like a loft or a regular living room space, and rather than have a board displaying different furniture, we’re giving you a sample blueprint and some photos similar to our “likes” posts.
