Happy Friday everyone! Growing up I always wanted to have one of those snuggly looking hand crochet blankets that my friends grandma’s made for them before they were born. While I still wont have a grandma that can make a blanket we do have Etsy I pulled together some of my favorite etsy crochet afgans for you to enjoy.
Today’s link love showcases MOSTLY photo collage examples that I am into… however, I also REALLY loved this one reclaimed wood wall project ~ so I had to share it with you as well! Happy Friday everyone!! Tomorrow is my best friend’s big 3-0 so everyone give a shout out to my girl Courtney! LOVE YOU!
Link Lovin’ time!
But 1st… a photo from my photo collage wall in our condo I decided to hang a collect of some images both past and present.. they include photos of both our parents (pre-us) my grandparents on their wedding day in Poland as well as some images of our beloved pooch Mr. Wickett-Monkey and a print or 2 that we enjoy + we needed to hide our electrical panel which was in the WORST spot! So the matador print fit PERFECTLY! BTW, click the “read more” botton to see my Link Lovin’ picks of the week!
It’s link lovin’ time my friends!!!! OH, and it’s also FRIDAY! yah!!!
Ok so today I not only have a few bloggity-blog entries that inspired me, but also some different websites and local biz that I really enjoy as well!
Afternoon All! Some weekly Link Lovin’ for you all to enjoy! Sooo I opened up my google reader this AM to find some AMAZING design and before & afters…
1st up! On Desire to Inspire is an amazingly gorgeous (if you ask me) unique kitchen designed by Hare + Klein Interior Design. If I ever get to live in a loft like space, Im having a kitchen like this! I really love the dark wood beams mixed with the stainless steel and the lamps just complete the kitchen. LOVE IT!
2nd. While this is not necessary a design that inspires, but more so another blogger couple whom def. inspire me! younghouselove was featured in The Washington Post, so I wanted to give them a special woot woot shout out! Check it out!
next up is a fun one from Casasugar on photos of Tiny Houses! I have this thing for small space living.. while I am not sure that my at home photography studio and Mr. McMorg’s computer habit would be able to do it.. I would like to pretend we could. I mean we DID live an 650 sq foot apt for 6years..but we eventually needed at least a 2nd bedroom! originally found via Home Decor News
And last but certainly not least is a Before & After kitchen from Design Sponge that I really loved as soon as I saw it. Originally posted by the lovely folks at Dream Book Design. I just love the brick, dark wood floors and those old skool stools for the island are just awesome!
If you have any links you love and want to share, please leave some of your favs. in our comments so that we all can be inspired! Or if you have a project you would like to have featured on This Lovely Home, email me; email@example.com
Have a great day and hope you enjoyed!

While today’s post might not be DIRECTLY related to home design, decor, or renovation it is about a VERY (in my opinion) important member of the family. The pooch! Im not sure how many people out there just let their furry friends out into the yard or for a quick walk around the block.. but since my dog was a “city dog” until a year ago he is used to going everywhere with me, enjoys playing with his other poochy friends, and going on fairly long walks. While this winter did not prove to be very Wickett-friendly but as the weather is warming I like to try to take him on different adventures at least once a week to a new place to see what is out there! If you dont live in NNJ but are curious to how I found some of these.. I just put into google “dog parks, NJ” some cities like NYC have resources like UrbanHound or the NYC parks.gov but us folks out in NJ dont have anything quite as cool just yet.. so here are some of the places I know of in the nearby area OR that I plan to check out when the weather gets nicer!
Here is a website in Beta that is for finding out about different dog friendly travel, parks, etc.. DOG GOES
Fun New Jersey.com ~ has a BUNCH of spots listed..some I had never heard of which is great! (plus other stuff to do in NJ)
Brookdale Dog Park ~ Montclair NJ great park has big and small runs + some agility stuff in the run to use
Ramapo Valley Reservation ~ Not a DOG PARK, but a national reservation that is dog friendly.. and (I THINK) on tuesdays they have a dog group that gets together for walks
Lyndhurst Dog Park ~ this park is RIGHT near our condo.. which is great.. close enough to walk, but not safe due to the highway overpass.. It’s a pretty big run with a big/small runs people are nice, but lots of big dogs
Hoboken Dog Association ~ this website seems to have a list of most if not all of the Hoboken dog runs as well as info on a few other non-Hobo spots like Jersey City + info on some parks and dog friendly beaches!
Wood Dale Dog Park ~ Woodcliff lake, NJ have not been to or heard about this one yet, but going to check it out for sure!
Ridgewood Duck Pond ~ Ridgewood, NJ has both big/small runs.. LOTS of big dogs in the big run… no place to really sit when in there, but good spot in a pinch! Has a stream off to the back of the run that dogs go in during the summer
Hike with your Dog ~ a website with all the different NJ state parks that are dog friendly to go hiking with your four-legged friend
I know we live in an a digital world and while I am part of that digital experience I cant help but still love the feeling of a magazine between my fingers, the dog-earring of pages I want to keep for future reference and the simplicity a magazine can bring you rather then the over load of website and link followed by more links and so on.
