I don’t have too many mirrors in my home. The only ones we have are in our bathrooms. Although I don’t have many mirrors, I do think nicely framed ones can be a nice accent to any room. There are definitely an abundance in options, so I wanted to share some with you today. Read More »
I’ve been thinking about putting a bean bag into lil man’s play room, but I’m not sure he’ll actually use it. Variety is hard to find really… it’s a bean bag… how different can they look really? Either way, I’ve been looking at them to see what’s out there. So I thought I’d share what I’ve found so far. Read More »
With every kitchen comes the concern or storage. This week, I decided to focus on some kitchen pantries I’ve seen and love. Enjoy! Read More »
I’m a big fan of having places to read in my home simply because I think it’s a great past time to sit down in a comfortable spot with a great book. I used to have a reading room, but we had change a few things up when we needed the space as storage. As a replacement of an entire room, my hubs Eric built me a reading cubby in our bedroom which included a bookshelf, storage bins on the floor and a cozy place to read. Read More »
At a furniture store the other day, I saw a chair that I thought was rather unusual and it sparked my interest. So, I decided to do a search online for interesting and usual upholstered chairs. Read More »
One of the perks of owning a house is the space to have a laundry room so you’re not toting all your dirty clothes to the laundromat. While it takes longer to do laundry at home since you only have one washer and one dryer, it’s nice being able to just throw laundry in to wash whenever you want. I do have a dedicated area for my laundry room sectioned off in my basement, but it’s not aesthetically where I want it. I’ve been dying to finish the walls, paint them and reorganize the entire little room, but it’s just not high on the priority list. That doesn’t stop me from checking out ideas though, so here are a few I found that I like. Read More »
Being the last day of Chanukah, it’s only appropriate to continue with our Spirit of Chanukah theme. So, today’s likes are all olive colored rooms. Enjoy!
Monday, we posted an inspiration design board for the spirit of Christmas. Today, I’m sharing some blue and white home decor with you in the spirit of Chanukah. Before I move onto what I’m going to show you, I wanted to first share a little bit about Chanukah.
The Festival of Lights is observed for eight days. Chanukah is a holiday of renewed faith, dedication and spirit and reminds us to “never lost hope.” As part of the traditional observation, one candle on the menorah is lit each night of Chanukah. Prayers and song are also part of the holiday. You can find out more about Chanukah traditions at Torah Tots.
In keeping with the design board from Monday, I delve into more artwork on etsy and the web. I found an abundance of picture frames. Sometimes you can just use the frames themselves as artwork. Here are some I found. Read More »
When we redid our bathroom, we elected to install shower doors instead of using shower curtains, but it doesn’t stop me from browsing that area when I’m in a home dec store. What can I say? I just enjoy looking at what’s new. I once told my hubs I wanted to put shower curtains up next to the doors. Obviously, Eric thought I was nuts. But, just because I don’t need shower curtains it doesn’t mean I can pick some I like and share them with you. Enjoy! Read More »
