What to do When You Feel Under the Weather

I haven’t been feeling well since the weekend. Tired, achy, foggy, tired…oh wait, I said that already.

It’s tough taking care of a very active toddler and a five month old when you’re feeling under the weather. Not like you can just hide yourself under the blanket and ignore the kids when they’re hungry or need diaper changes. So, what’s a mom to do?

For my guest post today, I want to share what I do when I start to feel sick:

  • Stay hydrated – Drink loads of water to stay hydrated. It also helps flush the system out a little. If you’re like me and not a fan of water, drink orange juice for hydration
  • Rest when you can. If the kids are down for a nap, you should too
  • For sore throats, I drink hot water with honey. Sometimes I leave out honey.
  • For aches, I used warm compresses. After a warm shower I also rub ice hot on achy spots or a salonpas patch
  • What do you do when you’re starting to feel sick?
