Our 1st Place ~ New York, NY

So while this might not have been a home that we OWNED it was a place that was VERY near and dear to my heart. I lived in NYC for a total of 6 years and M. for about 4 before we moved out to the Jerz.  We living in where I feel is “the heart of it all”, Greenwich Village in a fabulous building.  This apt has a fun history to it… see my cousins, 2 brothers moved in right after 9/11 and lived there together until Scott (the older one) got married.. leaving Ian with the need for a roomie.. In comes cousin Stacey.. I took over Ian’s old room and he graduated to Scotts.  From then on we lived there together for 3 years.. until IAN got married to a friend of mine and moved on up to the UWS which allowed for M. to move in and for us to turn my once illegal 2bed back into a 1bed apt.  Soooo in total someone from my family lived in that apt for 10 years! I know it might not look like much or be awesomely spectacular but we knew we didnt want to spend any major money on any furnishings since we would eventually move and buy stuff we really loved.  Some of these pieces we still have, some went back to where they came from (mom’s) and some we sold or trashed. So enjoy the look into my former and beloved life as a New Yorker.
